Meet The Team

Nana A. Y. Twum-Danso

Founder, CEO & Board Member

Nana is a public health and preventive medicine physician who is zealous about finding systematic solutions to complex problems. She has 15 years of experience in public health policy, strategy, program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and research at local, national and global levels.

Jamilata Alidu

Dispatcher & Subscriber Relations Assistant

Jamilatu is a nurse with two years of experience in clinical care and administration.

Isaac K. A. Awuni

Driver Relations Manager

Isaac is an auto mechanic and supply chain management professional with more than 20 years of experience in northern Ghana. He has in-depth experience and understanding of the geographic terrain, logistic challenges, driver behavior and cultural norms of the areas in which MAZA operates.

Pascal A. Bewil

Dispatcher

Pascal is a nurse with three years experience in clinical care and data management.

Genevieve P. Nyewieh

Subscriber Relations Manager

Genevieve is a public health and management professional with five years of experience in health information management, customer service and teaching in entrepreneurship and small business management. She has deep knowledge of and experience in working in rural communities in Northern Ghana.

Afia A. Appiah

Board Member

Afia is a social development specialist with expertise in social development program design and implementation, large-scale research program design as well as monitoring and evaluation. Her experience has been honed over the last 15 years working across Africa in the health, youth development, gender, education, governance and agricultural sectors.

Victor O. Asemota

Board Member

Victor has over 20 years of industry experience in enterprise applications consulting and implementation, information security and transaction systems. He is one of the founding board members of SWIFTA, an African technology services group, at the forefront of mobile money implementation and support in over 13 countries.

Kwasi A. Atuah

Board Member

Kwasi is a Ghanaian business entrepreneur, philanthropist, and CEO of Lifeforms Limited, a company he established about 28 years ago. Kwasi is a dynamic and a result-oriented entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in business development, strategic management and infrastructure development.

Board Member

Dee is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of WIE, an innovative women’s leadership and empowerment network. WIE connects emerging and established women leaders and works to equip them with the tools to succeed. The organization has attracted an incredible range of speakers to its global gatherings, including Melinda Gates and Donna Karan.
